The third distillery we visited in the 2016 whiskytrip was the Glenturret Distillery just outside Crieff. We had something very special planned and booked at Glenturret so we didn’t want to be late. We were going to do the Blending Experience ánd handfill a bottle after that. Wouldn’t want to miss thát!
The first distilleryvisit of our 2016 whiskytrip was a visit to the Blair Athol Distillery in Pitlochry. This distillery isn’t known for a big range of official bottlings however Peter and I both have a bottle of Blair Athol whisky in our collection. Both were independently bottled and both are beautiful. These bottles got us interested in the visit in the first place.
Na een half jaar van plannen maken en contacten leggen konden we in oktober 2016 eindelijk weer op pad. In een drukke ochtendspits duurde de reis van Oss naar Schiphol een half uur langer dan normaal maar we waren ruim op tijd om nog even te genieten van een kop koffie met een door Ralph Heijne gemaakte koffielikeur. Dan is het tijd om aan boord te gaan. Scotland here we come!
