Als je aan een serie begint die je terugbrengt naar de basis van je whiskyhobby dan is het onmogelijk om deze whisky te passeren. Ik denk dat zo’n 95% van de huidige whiskydrinkers zeker ooit eens een glaasje ervan genuttigd heeft. Daar hoor ik dus ook bij en nu doe ik dat dus nóg maar eens.
Working towards the weekend seems to be a great time for another Claxton’s sample review. Of course I’m not tasting the whisky while I’m working but it’s very nice to sit down with a fine dram after a busy day at work don’t you think? Today it’s a 14yo Macduff that has been poured into my glencairn.
The first distilleryvisit of our 2016 whiskytrip was a visit to the Blair Athol Distillery in Pitlochry. This distillery isn’t known for a big range of official bottlings however Peter and I both have a bottle of Blair Athol whisky in our collection. Both were independently bottled and both are beautiful. These bottles got us interested in the visit in the first place.
